Parents, when was the last time you took a look at the privacy settings on whatever device or social media platforms where you spend time? Recently, the news has been dominated with information about what Facebook has done to inappropriately share a lot of our personal information. I think sometimes as parents, it’s easy for us to underestimate the quantity of information that we’re sharing with the outside world when it comes to our family. It can be something as simple as taking a photo of your child outside of their school on the first day of school. We think it’s cute and adorable, but to the rest of the world, we are advertising where they are. It’s just helpful for us from time to time to remember that everything that we do online is seen by everybody else.
